Mission statement: Our mission is to bring to the forefront the amazing independent film from around the world that has never been given a distribution deal on television or in theatres. CIIFA will recognize filmmmakers, writers, producers, editors, actors, cinematographers, set designers, etc.

Nominees: CIIFA will select its own nominees, but others are free to nominate. We will obviously be viewing lots of films. We will try to watch all that are submitted, but unfortunately, to guarantee your nominee is viewed there is an administration fee of $15 CDN (you do not have to pay this fee, but then CIIFA cannot guarantee your film will be reviewed).

Judges: Our judges will be selected from all aspects of the industry as well as a few from the general populace. THESE AWARDS ARE TO HELP THE HONEST FILMMAKER CIRCUMVENT THE NEPOTISM OF THE INTERNATIONAL FILM INDUSTRY. However, the judges will still be expecting honest quality work, showing that the filmmmaker has gone to every extent to produce a project to the best of his/her ability.
